Michigan Radon gas testing inspection test resultsRadon Test Results

We have made arrangements with AirChek, the world's largest radon testing laboratory, to access their database through this page. Note: If you received an AirChek radon test from us and ordered a written report, the laboratory will also be mailing you a report package directly.

Be sure you have the serial number ready. Then click on the link below to display a table of tests from the database. If your kit number does not appear, it has not yet been analyzed, or was analyzed more than 30 days ago. Contact us to retrieve old data.

The database displays seven items of information for each kit: overall radon reading (pCi/l), test duration, start and end dates, date analyzed, notes, and moisture content of the charcoal in the kit. Before leaving the listing page, you will want to write down or cut and paste all this information.

Click here to access the AirChek database.

Compare your radon reading to the EPA Action Level of 4.0 picoCuries per liter. If the reported value is:

  • 4.0 or greater, you should fix the home or perhaps retest. For more guidance, contact us or the Michigan Radon Hotline.
  • <0.3, The radon level is too low to measure. (Congratulations!)
  • ??????, No reading could be calculated. (See below)

The "Notes" column contains codes that define anything unusual that may make the reported result less precise than usual, or may even prevent calculation of a result:

  • S: Test too short.
  • X: Temperature below 30 or above 90 deg F
  • E: Excessive delay in arriving at lab
  • L: Test too long, but result representative of last 4 days
  • W: Excess moisture, usually in combination with an L code
  • M: Start or end time not provided; 12:00 noon assumed
  • U: Unsealed kit. Much of the radon may have escaped
  • P: Kit not fully sealed. Analysis generally not possible
  • F: Kit damaged or improperly used. Analysis not possible
  • I: Invalid Test. (Used in combination with another code.)

If "?????" appears in the Start Date and/or End Date column, and there are no other Notes, we will be able to recalculate once you give us the missing information.
